Grandma's Goulash graciously hosts Succinctly Yours, the wonderful meme for those of us addicted to microfiction. The trick is to write a story in 140 characters or less using the photo below as inspiration. To add to the challenge is the word of the week, "diligent." My stories are below.
DooDoo Diligence
(122 characters)
No matter how diligent they were, Jan and her pals just couldn’t avoid all the cow pies. Bessie snickered from a distance.

Don't Do Diligence
(137 characters)
The Procrastinator’s Club found themselves woefully short on snow when they finally managed to arrange January’s ski trip . . . in April.

Thanks for visiting! See you on Wednesday for the naked truth about . . . last chances.
Have a great week!

As usual, your microfiction makes me chuckle. Even the playful contrasting titles were funny.
Wow, from the picture, I thought these would be melancholy, but both are hilarious! Kudos!
The titles alone were brilliant. Doo doo diligence...Ha!
One too eager, the other not eager enough. enjoyed both. great fun.
Your titles crack me up! Bessie is quite the prankster.
I know some procrastinators and they're always scrambling to meet a deadline. I'm a recovering procrastinator. But sometimes I still fall off the bandwagon, so to speak.
Your stories are always unique and very creative!
Always the queen of Microfiction. Love it.
Lucky for the DooDoo gang that it's cold. Much less odor and the pies are less apt to be squishy. Take it from a farm girl. :D
I could relate to those skiers, although with the advent of snow machines, April skiing can be just fine.
I love your takes. You are always so clever, and you added alliteration!
Cow pies. Urg. I have a hard enough time avoiding dog pies in the park.
Love the DooDoo!
can totally understand being diligent and still unable to avoid doodoo (duck doodoo for me)..
and i might belong to the diligent group in the second one there...loved them..
Great ones! Love the doo doo one best!
Funny-funny! Reminds me--I need to clean up after my dog!!
The procrastinators are out of luck, though perhaps they think they'll come upon a nice run somewhere in all that grass?
:)
No matter how diligent they were, Jan and her pals just couldn’t avoid all the cow pies. Bessie snickered from a distance.
Bravo! Being a resident of America's Dairyland, naturally I love it when Bessie wins!
Wonderful, Lisa.
"Bessie snickered" made me snicker, and I'm married to the president of the Procrastinators' Club, although I suspect I'm vice-president myself.
K
I did a "Bessie" and snickered unmercifully at both of them!
