Grandma's Goulash graciously hosts Succinctly Yours, the wonderful meme for those of us addicted to microfiction. The trick is to write a story in 140 characters or less using the photo below as inspiration. To add to the challenge is the word of the week, "bouyant." My stories are below.
Trauma in Oz
(128 characters)
The Munchkins rued their practical joke when Glinda fainted. Poor girl just wasn’t the same since that house fell on her sister.
Drama Because of Oz
(140 characters)
After Dr. Oz espoused the benefits of red wine, Mrs. Claus knew there’d be big trouble with Santa. He could never do anything in moderation.
Oz is the Cause
(127 characters)
The elves were buoyant when Santa threw them a holiday party. It was great fun until Elf Ozzie, the old sot, spiked the eggnog.

"There's no place like Lisa's Succinctly Yours blog!" exclaimed DorthyFarkle.

Fun Christmas tales, not just micros but populated by them, too :-)
Three instead of the usual two? Perhaps Lisa had a bit of wine and chocolate last night?
I love the play on words in the titles, and as expected, they bring a chuckle.
I hope your holiday was a great one, Lisa.
Funny as always! Nice job.
Heheh they are all funny.
Great mix of practical jokes and drinking ยต-fiction stories. :)
..
Number one really tickled my funny bone. As for number three, I'm betting the party didn't get started until Ozzie doctored the eggnog.lol
As usual, its a delight to see what you have come up with.
Hilarious, all, Lisa. My favorites were Glinda and Elf Ozzie. But Santa and the red wine is right up there with them. That photo is funny even all by itself! So many takes one can go with.
Lisa, you outdid yourself! It must be that old Christmas spirit helping you out. Hey, I just realized that "spirit" can be taken two different ways...get it. Wink, wink... How are you. It has been a while. My project is nearing an end (chapter 15) at least of draft number one, but came to a standstill since December began. What about your 50,000? Anxious to hear. Well, just stopping by with latest tech toy as we get ready to visit family the next few days. I hope you had a nice Christmas :)
I started giggling at the picture, and it just got better from there. By the time I reread the titles...let's just say this is clever to the third power.
Cute feet, but that Grinch under the tree is scary! Loved your stories. There are lots of folks like Santa who use that as a good reason for drinking wine ... I don't bother with the digestive excuses though, lol.
