NaNoWriMo Means NoNoMicro

See Taz? That's me over the past week, writing for NaNo and cooking for Thanksgiving.  I fell behind on my NaNo count and am now in the unenviable position of playing catch up. For awhile there it looked pretty grim; but I've been a writing fool for the past two days and as of last count need just a smidge under 10,000 words between now and Wednesday to hit the 50,000 goal. That's still a lot of writing, but it's possible. Wish me luck!

Unfortunately, on my drive to a successful NaNo completion, other things have taken a back seat and this week's microfiction is one of them. (The laundry basket hasn't received my attention either, much to my family's chagrin.) I really can't help it. I've been looking a lot like Taz, but after my 5,000 word push today I'm looking more like this:

I'll see you Wednesday for the naked truth about . . . ZZZZzzzzz.

Have a great week!

Lisa--I know you can do it. I've got 5,000 more to do.

I am sure we will see each other at the finish line.

Good luck and don't worry about the other stuff. This is a shortterm goal but one you want...so go for it! I have never done it so good for you.

Washing can wait as can all other things the family could learn to do for themselves - only YOU can finish your NaNo - and you deserve to do so after this magnificent effort - well done and stick with it Lisa

I gave up trying to get 50000 words down...rather using NaNo to get my story of the brain cells onto paper and drive. Good luck to reaching the finish level.

Congrats on your tremendous NaNo productivity. As for the laundry, it can wait. You don't have to wear clean clothes in order to write well!

You can do it. I have faith in you! (But you should have had someone else cook for Thanksgiving, really.)
Best wishes for a successful completion,
K

Keep those words coming, Lisa, I know that you will make it. Though I'm missing your microfiction, I do understand. I'll be checking back and waiting to hear the bell ring that 50,000 mark.

Linda - Thanks! I'm getting closer!

Sioux - Meet you there! :)

Sarah - Thanks for the words of encouragement.

Claudia - Thanks. And really, couldn't they have picked a less busy month?

Sandra - You're so practical. I love your thinking. Laundry 101 coming up!

Rekha - Thanks for your encouragement. It is a big step to get the story on paper. :)

Katie - True. Or as Papa would say, "Just turn the undies inside out and press on!" LOL

Kay - Unfortunately, no one else knows/likes how to cook except Papa, and the Thanksgiving feast is too much for him to handle. It worked out okay. Except for the eating too much turkey and gravy part. :)

Kathy - Thanks!

Grandma - You know I went through withdrawal without my microfiction. LOL I'll be back at it next week.

Madeleine - Thanks for reminding me that the novel may be written, but the work is far from over. *sigh* It'll be a busy few months!

Cathy - Oh, don't I wish! No. It's finished only in my brain and on an outline. (You may be thinking of "Wizards and Skateboards" which I did finish but haven't done rewrites/edits on.) It WILL be done though, sometime before midnight tomorrow!

Laraine - Thanks! I appreciate your encouragement.
